Radiology & Ultrasound

Digital Radiology / X-rays – Help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular (cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. The image to the left was taken with our new, high resolution direct digital radiography system, which helps us to quickly make a diagnosis and begin treatment.

Ultrasound – This non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs. Ultrasound is often the next best modality for assessment of radiographic changes and when radiographic studies are inconclusive. Echocardiography can also be scheduled at our hospital. Pregnancy ultrasound exams are also available.

We also have use the services of Dr. Scott Tidwell, a Board Certified Veterinary Radiologist, for his mobile veterinary ultrasound services plus radiology consultation. Dr. Tidwell’s expertise provides an interpretation of his findings from our patients radiographs that we submit on a daily basis. This allows our doctors to provide a higher level of medicine and confirm their diagnosis to start treatment, do a needed procedure or surgery or do more diagnostics if suspected lesions are found.
